We offer horse exercising and turnouts.
Our Current Trainer is Katie Emmermann

Katie grew up in rural Connecticut where she starting riding at age seven under the tutelage of her parents at North Forty Farm.  Having a barn full of horses at home gave Katie the rare opportunity to ride and train daily.  She taught riding lessons, started young horses, and competed throughout the US on the Hunter/Jumper circuit for 15 years, winning numerous year-end Championships.  Growing up, the United States Pony Club was a big part of Katie’s life, and continues to be as she teaches at the Agoura and Santa Rosa Pony Clubs.  In the Metropolitan Region, she completed her C-3 rating at age fourteen and competed at the USPC National Championships in Show Jumping twice, placing third and fourth.  She has worked for top trainers around the world: training race horses in England for Olympic eventer Mary Gordon-Watson and training jumpers in California for Grand-Prix show jumper Jenni Martin-McAllister.  On the east coast, Katie has ridden in clinics with Anne Kursinski, Michael Page, Mark Jungherr, Lendon Gray and Alix Szepesi.

Katie has a passion for starting young horses.  She believes in building trust between horse and rider first and foremost.  Her ability to read horses’ body language plus her timing and patience make her very effective at achieving lasting results.  She has started numerous horses, all of whom have moved on to successful careers with their owners.

Katie is a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and currently is the Head Instructor at RideOn Therapeutic Horsemanship.  She helps her students reach their riding goals with encouragement and a sense of humor in a safe environment.  She believes in building a solid foundation with correct and classic equitation, which puts the rider in the best balance and position to influence their horses.  Katie specializes in teaching a balanced seat position for all disciplines of riding, with a focus on equitation, dressage and jumpers.
